We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is fundamental to our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. Your work will directly impact efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to data management, and a thorough understanding of inventory control principles. While this role may involve some light Lifting, the primary focus is on accuracy and system management. Safety in the warehouse is paramount, and you will be trained on all relevant procedures and provided with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on low stock or overstock situations.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area, adhering to Safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to perform light manual tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
