We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and staging goods for shipment. A key focus will be on ensuring that materials are handled properly to prevent damage and maintain operational flow. Safety is our top priority, and all Material Handlers must adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform consistent Lifting, and a strong work ethic. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stock and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Pick and prepare materials for outbound shipments.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
