Join our growing team as a Picker/Packer in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us efficiently process and prepare orders for shipment. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves, carefully packaging them to ensure safe transit, and preparing them for dispatch. This position requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency to meet customer demands within our logistics operations. You'll be working in a dynamic warehouse environment where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. The job involves significant physical activity, including standing for long periods, walking, bending, and reaching. Proper lifting techniques are crucial, and team members must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Training will be provided on our inventory management systems and best practices. A commitment to safety is non-negotiable; all employees are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and follow all established safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using order pick lists or scanners.
- Inspect items for quality and damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packing materials and methods to ensure product protection.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate manual and powered pallet jacks when necessary.
- Meet individual and team performance goals for picking and packing.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or fulfillment experience is beneficial.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Understanding and commitment to safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Team-oriented attitude.
