We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage inbound shipments at our Orlando, Florida warehouse. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately checking, documenting, and storing all deliveries. Your attention to detail will be critical in ensuring that our inventory is correct and ready for distribution. This position is vital to our logistics operations, impacting overall inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document received items in the inventory management system.
- Sort and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies or damages to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
