We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that the right products are shipped to the right customers, on time and in excellent condition. This is a critical position within our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Print shipping labels and affix them to packages.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product information.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE as required for the role, including safety shoes and vests.
