We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Madison, Wisconsin! As a vital part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from designated areas, and assisting with inventory management tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Certification for forklift operation is required. Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform tasks that involve frequent bending, squatting, and lifting. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Possess a valid forklift operator certification.
