We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and efficiency are key to our logistics success, ensuring that our customers receive exactly what they ordered in a timely manner. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Report any discrepancies or damages found during the picking process.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Capability of lifting items up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required PPE.
This role is essential for our logistics and order fulfillment processes. Safety is of utmost importance; therefore, all employees must comply with safety regulations and wear the necessary PPE. Training will be provided on safe lifting techniques and warehouse procedures.
