We are hiring a Picker/Packer in Richmond, Virginia, to be a key player in our warehouse operations. This role is critical for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of customer orders for shipment. - Accurately identifying and retrieving products from storage locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Inspecting products for damage or defects before packing.
- Packing orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Applying shipping labels and preparing packages for carrier pickup.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work station, organizing supplies and tools.
- Following all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct usage of all provided PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, footwear).
- Assisting with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting and stock checks.
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily fulfillment targets.
- Supporting the overall Logistics flow of the distribution center.
- Performing other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
The Picker/Packer position requires the ability to stand for long durations, walk, bend, and reach frequently. Candidates must be capable of consistent Lifting of up to 45 pounds. A strong focus on detail and accuracy is paramount. Prior experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse capacity is preferred.
