Our company is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is central to ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining records. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging for transit.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Assist in managing warehouse inventory related to shipping.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of goods within our logistics operations.
- Must be able to handle moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is a plus.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices.
- Commitment to Safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks involving Lifting and physical exertion.
