Responsibilities
- Keep the site's foundation healthy: controlled updates of WordPress core/plugins/themes using staging, compatibility audits, removal of unnecessary plugins, and tested backups + restores.
- Implement performance improvements: caching (server + plugin), JS/CSS minification and deferring, lazy loading, image optimization (WebP/AVIF), review of TTFB/Core Web Vitals/mobile, and evaluating a CDN if applicable (including removing unnecessary Elementor scripts).
- Execute and maintain technical SEO: indexing, dynamic sitemap, , canonicals, 301 redirects, fixing 404s/duplicates/thin pages/pagination, URL structure, schema markup, and validation in Google Search Console.
- Optimize Elementor: reduce DOM/nesting, replace heavy widgets, improve "proper" responsive behavior, create reusable templates, and clean up excessive inline CSS.
Requirements
- Proven experience with WordPress + Elementor (ideally Elementor Pro) and managing staging/production environments.
- Ability to identify and resolve plugin conflicts and post-update issues.
- Strong web performance knowledge (caching, JS/CSS, images, Core Web Vitals).
- Strong command of technical SEO applied to WP (sitemaps, robots, canonicals, redirects, schema, GSC).
- Proficient in HTML/CSS (bonus if you also know JS/PHP).
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
