Role Summary
We are looking for a Demand Planner to join our Finance team. This is a new role in the company. The role will report to the Director of Finance and will be an integral partner between the Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance teams, owning the demand planning process, inventory management, and Supply Chain financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Inventory Management (75%)
- Lead demand planning across all channels, ensuring appropriate inventory draw-down while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Seasonal Purchase Recommendations (Fall/Winter & Spring/Summer)
- Everyday Replenishment Purchase Recommendations (i.e. Harnesses)
- New Launch Purchase Recommendations
- Collaborate with Sales, DTC, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure current business insights are captured in the demand forecast.
- Liaise with cross-functions to validate feasibility of mid-to-long-term supply plans and recommend contingency plans.
- Provide analytical support for cross-functions, such as Sales and DTC teams, when required for Supply Chain services.
- Develop, track, and analyze Inventory Management/Supply Chain KPIs.
Supply Chain Financial Analysis (25%)
- Analyze monthly warehouse invoices.
- Analyze receiving, storage, fulfilment, and postage costs; propose ways to reduce costs when possible.
- Analyze returns and refurbishing reports to ensure products are returning to sellable inventory, and refurbishment costs are in line with the budget.
- Partner with Finance to prepare Supply Chain accrual entries.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support with the preparation of the annual Supply Chain budget and updated forecasts throughout the year as necessary.
- Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Your Profile
- 3+ years of experience in a Demand Planning role.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain a demand planning model and effectively analyze large datasets.
- Deep analytical mindset and problem-solving acumen.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, ensuring data consistency across teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and DTC).
- Confident presenting data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Experience analyzing Supply Chain cost and operational data is considered an asset.
