Become a Customs Officer
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Customs Officers, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding national borders, enforcing laws and regulations, and promoting trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming goods to identify potential risks or non-compliance with customs regulations;
- Conduct interviews with travelers and cargo owners to determine admissibility;
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for preventing smuggling of prohibited items;
- Prioritize tasks effectively during peak periods;
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you must possess strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication abilities. A bachelor’s degree in law enforcement-related fields is preferred along with relevant work experience.
You should have knowledge about laws regulating importing/exporting merchandise from/to US territories like Guam/Puerto Rico/U.S Virgin Islands etc!
The recruitment process includes passing written exams followed by oral assessments which examine your proficiency regarding foreign language courses especially Spanish - unless assigned elsewhere.,
