Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Overview

The United States Customs and Border Protection is seeking highly skilled individuals to fill the role of Customs and Border Protection Officer. As a CBPO, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our nation's borders, enforcing customs laws, and facilitating legitimate trade.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting inspections of people, goods, and conveyances to ensure compliance with regulations; making determinations on the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States; preventing smuggling activities; collecting duties owed to the government; inspecting commercial shipments to prevent prohibited items from entering or exiting the country;

In addition to these key duties,you will be responsible for maintaining order within designated areas such as ports-of-entry, airports cargo facilities warehouses,
