Border Enforcement Officer

As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Your duties will include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.

Typical assignments may involve:

• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States

• A minimum of three (3) years full-time general work experience or equivalent in education;
• The ability to learn new laws, regulations and procedures relevant to border protection;
The capacity to make quick decisions under pressure when conducting inspections.
