Becoming a CBPO: Requirements & Qualifications
To be eligible for this position you must have one year or more experience in law enforcement that includes detaining suspects using proper methods; enforcing international shipping regulations; analyzing intelligence data to identify potential threats; conducting interviews with suspected violators to determine appropriate courses of action. Alternatively education may also qualify you through successfully completing graduate-level programs leading towards advanced degrees like master's or LLB/JD from accredited institutions.
