Becoming a CBPO: The Path Forward
The typical career path begins at GS-5 level.
h4>GS-5 Grade Level Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years general work experience that demonstrates ability to meet people's needs; OR
Educational Substitution:A bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college or university;
OR Combination Experience & EducationA combination of successfully completed college education AND general work experience.
h4>Promotion Opportunities: You will be eligible for promotions after successful completion 52 weeks in each grade level based on operational requirements.
The selected candidates must complete paid pre-academy orientation followed by intense training program conducted Federal Law Enforcement Training Center located Georgia.The training includes basic law enforcement skills firearms examination cargo/bags/merchandise physical fitness etc.Successful completion Academy required this position.
