Border Security Specialist

The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer is a challenging and rewarding role that requires individuals to safeguard America's borders while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. This position involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations, as well as conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. This includes detaining suspected violators of federal laws, enforcing importing/exporting regulations, utilizing intelligence techniques for risk assessments, and conducting law enforcement interviews.
