We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our busy logistics department in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with carriers. Your duties will include picking, packing, labeling, and staging outgoing merchandise, as well as generating shipping documents. A meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace Safety are essential. You will work closely with our warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to our customers. This position requires the ability to handle moderate Lifting and a good understanding of shipping procedures. We provide all necessary PPE and maintain a strong focus on a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess excellent organizational skills, and be capable of working effectively in a fast-paced setting. Your contribution is key to maintaining our reputation for efficient and accurate order fulfillment. Experience with shipping software is a definite advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Label outgoing shipments correctly and efficiently.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading).
- Stage prepared shipments for carrier pickup.
- Verify order accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate with carriers regarding pickup schedules and any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
