Role Summary
The Sealants Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all sealant and caulking operations across Triumph projects. This role ensures that sealant installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and Triumph quality standards.
The Sealants Supervisor leads field crews, coordinates schedules and materials, and works closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Quality Control to deliver high-quality, durable building-envelope installations.
Key Responsibilities
Field Supervision & Execution
· Supervise and coordinate sealant crews on active construction and service projects.
· Assign daily work activities, monitor productivity, and ensure work is completed to schedule.
· Ensure sealant installations comply with drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
· Coordinate sequencing of sealant work with glazing, cladding, masonry, and other trades.
Quality Control & Technical Compliance
· Ensure proper surface preparation, joint sizing, backing materials, and application methods.
· Verify correct sealant selection, colour, tooling, and curing procedures.
· Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed installations.
· Identify deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective action.
Safety & Compliance
· Always Enforce Triumph's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
· Ensure crews use appropriate PPE and follow safe work practices, including work at heights.
· Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations as required.
· Ensure compliance with site-specific safety requirements and access protocols.
Coordination & Communication
· Work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Construction Coordinators.
· Communicate schedule requirements, site conditions, and access needs in advance.
· Coordinate material requirements, deliveries, and equipment needs.
· Liaise with Quality Control, consultants, and third-party inspectors when required.
Crew Leadership & Development
· Lead, mentor, and support sealant technicians and apprentices.
· Support training on proper installation techniques and product knowledge.
· Assist with onboarding new crew members and monitoring performance.
· Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and professionalism.
Documentation & Reporting
· Complete daily reports, progress tracking, and deficiency logs.
· Assist with tracking labour hours and productivity.
· Support project close-out documentation and warranty requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial sealants and caulking.
· 2+ years in a supervisory or lead hand role.
· Strong knowledge of sealant systems, substrates, and installation methods.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
Preferred
· Experience on mid-rise or high-rise construction projects.
· Familiarity with building envelope systems (glazing, cladding, curtain wall).
· Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other relevant safety certifications.
· Experience in both new construction and service/repair work.

Compensation
- Salary Range: $50,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
