WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Golin has an opening for an Associate (Account Coordinator). In this role you'll create meaningful impact for our clients, collaborate with a highly integrated team, and actively participate in an intentionally inclusive, powerfully diverse, and uncompromisingly equitable culture.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about client service (always striving to deliver the best product, and thinking beyond today), media relations, influencer outreach and developing relationships to benefit or team, network and clients. The ideal candidate will have 6 months to one year of experience as an intern or coordinator in a PR agency, a broad understanding of the Canadian media and influencer landscape and has a pulse on what's trending on the top social media platforms from Tik Tok to Pinterest, and what's being covered in outlets like the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Narcity and everything in between.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate as part of our integrated PR team, supporting the account team and clients on a day-to-day basis from brief to execution to measurement and reporting.

• Provide daily media monitoring, tracking and social listening on a number of client files.

• Monitor and track client, competitor, industry, and cultural news and share with team.

• Understand what themes and content will drive coverage and conversations on social and traditional media; develop relevant narratives and media pitches.

• Work with content and design teams to craft best in class content and media materials.

• Conduct media pitching to secure coverage and coordinate interviews with spokespeople when necessary.

• Update and maintain media and influencer lists on a regular basis.

• Work to foster strong relationships with industry media and influencers that align with our client portfolio.

• Manage media and influencer seeding including working with vendor partners, and managing the packaging, shipping and tracking.

• Manage influencer vetting and selection for paid campaigns with a keen eye for understanding how to identify strong partners that align with brand and campaign objectives.

• Support the team in all facets of influencer management from negotiation, contracting, content development to reporting.

• Provide client / account administrative support including vendor set-up (information gathering, working with our finance team, managing vendors and following through from PO creation to ensuring payments are made.

• Support all aspects of event conception, attendee list building and management, event management and execution.

• Support with day-to-day account admin such as keeping meeting notes, creating and sharing agenda with the team and clients, maintaining client files and folders.

• Adopt Golin's best practices with the use of GenAI and how we use it in the workplace.

What you'll bring

• 6 months to one year of experience working as an intern and/or coordinator in a Canadian PR agency setting.

• Understanding of what earned-first PR means to our clients and business.

• Proficient in the use of technology and tools including Microsoft Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Meltwater or Cision, CreatorIQ, SproutSocial, or similar platform.

• Broad understanding of AI and communications with a desire to learn and grow in this area.

• Superior written and verbal presentation skills (English Professional Proficiency)

• Confident, driven, smart and a go-getter with a passion for communications.

• Strong understanding of the media and influencer landscape with the ability to identify trends.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks at once.

• Meticulous and detail oriented, yet able to work fast.

• Collaborative work style.

Salary Range: CAD $40,000 - CAD $50,000
