Location: Mississauga, ON.
Full-time, Permanent
CA$60,000 – CA$95,000 per year based on experience.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior or Lead Technical Trainer with deep experience in enterprise-scale card issuing and payment processing platforms. This role is responsible for defining and delivering the training strategy for multi-scheme card environments, supporting credit, debit, prepaid, and ATM programs. You will act as both a subject matter expert and mentor to trainers and implementation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end training strategy for enterprise card issuing and payment platforms.
Act as senior SME for issuer processing, transaction lifecycle, settlement, clearing, reconciliation, disputes, and chargebacks.
Design and deliver advanced training programs for internal teams, clients, and partners across multiple card schemes.
Drive training initiatives for new issuer implementations, processor migrations, platform upgrades, and scheme-mandated changes.
Translate complex architecture, BRDs, functional specifications, and scheme rules into structured curricula.
Collaborate with product management, architecture, development, QA, and operations to align training with platform roadmap.
Develop standard training artifacts: run books, operational manuals, certification guides, and assessments.
Support scheme certifications, audits, and compliance readiness.
Lead workshops, deep dives, and executive briefings.
Provide SME guidance during UAT, pilot, and early production phases.
Enterprise & Multi-Scheme Expertise:
Issuer processing: credit, debit, prepaid, and virtual card products.
Multi-scheme transaction routing & authorization (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Pulse, UPI).
EMV issuing: chip data, key management, personalization.
API integrations, batch processing, real-time transaction flows.
Settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and network reporting.
Fraud monitoring, risk controls, and compliance.
Migration from legacy/non-EMV platforms to modern enterprise systems.
Required Experience & Skills:
University or college degree.
10+ years in electronic payments, card issuing, or processor environments.
Proven experience delivering senior-level technical or operational training in regulated payment ecosystems.
Deep understanding of card scheme rules, certification, and issuer obligations.
Knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and production operations.
Experience with large-scale, high-availability transaction platforms.
Strong documentation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio.
Excellent analytical and enterprise-level problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Second language (Spanish/French).
Back-end accounting and GL experience for card platforms.
Leadership Expectations:
