We are seeking a WordPress Performance Expert to help our site pass the Core Web Vitals (Mobile) assessment. The site is built with Elementor Pro, hosted on Cloudways, and uses WP Rocket and Cloudflare.
Despite having optimization tools in place, we are failing on Mobile due to heavy CSS delivery and server response times.
Current Performance Data (Mobile):
LCP: 1.7s (Needs improvement)
INP: 121ms (Needs improvement)
CLS: 0.14 (Failing)
TTFB: 1.1s (Critical bottleneck)
Technical Debt: 40+ render-blocking Elementor CSS files and 7 font families.
Report:
The Scope of Work:
Server/TTFB Optimization: Diagnose why TTFB is at 1.1s on Cloudways. Optimize Varnish, Object Cache (Redis/Memcached), and Cloudflare settings (APO or Page Rules).
Elementor CSS Management: Consolidate and minify the 40+ render-blocking CSS files. Implement "Improved CSS Loading" and "Inline Font Icons" without breaking layouts.
Font Optimization: Reduce the 7 font families. Implement font-display: swap and preloading to eliminate layout shifts.
CLS Fixes: Identify and fix specific layout shifts (likely caused by headers, hero images, or dynamically loaded Elementor widgets).
INP (Interaction to Next Paint): Identify long tasks and main-thread blocking scripts to improve responsiveness.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of taking Elementor sites from "Fail" to "Pass" on Core Web Vitals.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cloudflare (Edge Caching, Tiered Cache, etc.).
- Experience with WP Rocket's advanced configurations (not just default settings).
- Deep understanding of Critical CSS generation.
Note: You must ensure the site layout remains 100% intact across all breakpoints.
How to Apply:
- Provide 2-3 examples of Elementor sites you have optimized (before/after PageSpeed links preferred).
- Briefly explain how you plan to tackle the 1.1s TTFB on a Cloudways/Cloudflare environment.
- Type "Core Web Vitals Expert" at the top of your proposal so I know you read the full brief.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with None hours per week.
