Customs and Border Protection Officer Career
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Federal Law Enforcement community as a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer.
Job Description:
- To protect national interests by safeguarding our borders, preventing illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguard our nation's security by enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations;
- Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing illegal entry of individuals or prohibited goods;
- Determine admissibility for entry into the United States based on various factors;
Required Skills & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess one of the following qualifications:
lithium/en), OR Education Substitution:A bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement
based on class standing, grade-point average(3.0 or higher), or honor society membership OR one full year
of graduate-level education demonstrating knowledge necessary to do work.If you have previous law enforcement experience,
a GS-9 grade level may be achievable through USAJOBS.Grade level eligibility varies depending upon background,
as well as duty location which can offer up to $45k overtime pay,your career growth expected in this position .
