  • Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws.  • Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.  • Preventing undocumented noncitizens from entering the country.  • Maintaining surveillance at covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.  • Interpreting tracks, marks, and other physical evidence related to illegal entry.
