Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly trained team of professionals in law enforcement, protecting America's interests and securing our nation. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), you will be part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce.


The job involves safeguarding borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity. You will enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforcing customs laws by inspecting individuals & conveyances

  • Determining admissibility for entry into the US

  • Preventing illegal entry & smuggling contraband

h2 class='subsection'>Required Skills And Qualifications
  • A minimum 1 year specialized experience or Bachelor degree in relevant field OR combination of education & experience equivalencies GB-7 at CBP OFO OR preferably GS-9 within same criteria JOA note then USAJOBS
