To be successful in this position, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. You should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders
• Maintain surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
