You have an exceptional opportunity to work with a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to protecting America. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will be part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce responsible for safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing national economic prosperity.
The typical assignments include:
- Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
- Facilitating trade and travel while maintaining security standards.
- Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with federal laws.
This role requires specialized knowledge in enforcing import/export regulations and identifying potential threats to national security. You must also possess excellent communication skills for conducting interviews as well as making rapid decisions under pressure.
Note that formal training includes basic law enforcement skills, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise physical fitness etc., Successful completion is necessary for this position.
