Job Opportunity Border Patrol Agents are required to maintain the security and integrity of the United States borders. The primary responsibility of these agents is to prevent and deter individuals from entering or exiting the country illegally, as well as detect smuggling activities.

    • Detecting violations of customs laws• Interpreting documents and interviewing witnesses• Developing physical surveillance skills for detecting smugglers at border crossings
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for maintaining composure under stressful situations while interacting with people who may exhibit aggressive behavior. Your ability to speak English fluently is essential in effectively communicating with foreign nationals whose first language is not English. In addition, proficiency in Spanish-speaking languages (Level II) enhances your value as an agent because many individuals crossing into the US do so through Mexico.
