About the Role: The Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) is responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. This involves conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States, preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods, and seizing contraband. Additionally, CBPOs will facilitate legitimate trade and travel while maintaining vigilance against potential threats. They will also participate in training programs to enhance their skills in areas such as Spanish language training where applicable.
Tech Requirements:
- A minimum of one year's experience equivalent to GS-5 level or higher
- Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement based on GPA 3.0 or higher
The applicants must pass a rigorous background investigation before being hired.
The successful candidate must be willing to relocate within USA if assigned.
