Border Patrol Agent Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Border Patrol Agent. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in enforcing U.S. laws and regulations at the border.

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders

This is a career ladder position with opportunities for growth through promotions based on performance. The highest grade level is GS-12, allowing for long-term development within your role.

Becoming A BPA:
