Border Patrol Agent Job Description

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring for a Border Patrol Agent position.

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws


• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations


• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at the borders

1. a bachelor's degree or one year of general work experience that demonstrates leadership skills, sound decision-making, and ability to learn regulations through classroom training or on-the-job instruction;
2. Possession of excellent communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters;
