This position is a critical component of our nation's border protection efforts, requiring strong analytical and communication skills to effectively enforce laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws through inspections of individuals, conveyances, and cargo;
- Determining admissibility of individuals into the United States while preventing illegal entry;
Educational Requirements:
The successful candidate must have one year or more experience equivalent to GS-7 level that includes enforcing federal laws using proper methods; utilizing intelligence techniques for threat identification; conducting interviews for information gathering purposes. Alternatively, this requirement can be met with education such as Master's Degree from an accredited institution OR combination of specialized experience AND graduate-level education.
