Position:
We are seeking experienced CNC Mill Machine Operators to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision landing gear components in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and aerospace quality standards. The successful candidate will ensure product conformity, maintain safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement within a high-performance manufacturing team environment.
Role And Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines (3, 4, and/or 5-axis as applicable).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
Perform machine setups including tool offsets, work offsets, and first-piece validation.
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM where applicable).
Verify parts meet dimensional and tolerance requirements per aerospace standards.
Maintain detailed production and inspection records in accordance with AS9100 and company procedures.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies.
Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment cleanliness and functionality.
Adhere to workplace safety regulations and company policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost control.
Requirements:
High school diploma with additional technical training or apprenticeship in machining preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of CNC milling experience in a precision manufacturing environment (aerospace experience strongly preferred).
Strong understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or equivalent controls).
Proficient in reading and interpreting aerospace technical drawings and GD&T.
Experience machining high-strength alloys (steel, titanium, aluminum).
Knowledge of AS9100 or aerospace quality systems preferred.
Diligent and committed to precision and quality.
Ability to work independently and within a team-based manufacturing environment.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods as required.
