Position Overview:
Avolta is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Student Intern to join our team as part of a co-op program. This internship is designed for students who are passionate about HR and organizational development and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. As an intern, you will work closely with our HR team to support talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR operations. Please note that this is a pro bono opportunity, ideal for students seeking to gain valuable experience and co-op credit while contributing to impactful work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in talent acquisition efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Help organize and promote employee engagement initiatives and events.
Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Contribute to the documentation and presentation of HR metrics and reports.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all tasks and interactions.
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of responsibility, maturity, and a willingness to learn.
Must be eligible to receive co-op credit through your academic institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
Interest in the technology, security, or automotive industries.
Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
