We are launching a regional tourism & media network across multiple city domains and require an experienced WordPress developer to build a clean, scalable master template using the Blocksy theme.
This is NOT a brochure site.
This project requires structured page hierarchy, reusable Gutenberg layouts, sponsor placement integration, and architecture that allows the site to be cloned across multiple domains.
The finished template will serve as the foundation for 5–10 future city websites.
Scope of Work
Build a scalable WordPress master template including:
• Homepage layout (hero, category grid, featured listings, sponsor section)
• Tourism category hub templates (Eat & Drink, Things To Do, Stay, Shop, Community)
• Featured business page template
• Sponsor placement framework (premium + category-level placements)
• Clean header & navigation structure
• Footer structure ready for multi-city cloning
• Mobile optimization
• Performance optimization
Technical Requirements
• Must use Blocksy theme
• Must use Gutenberg (no heavy page builders)
• Clean, minimal, fast-loading build
• Easily cloneable via hosting platform
• Strong UX and structural thinking required
Ideal Candidate
• 3+ years WordPress experience
• Experience customizing WordPress themes (not just Elementor)
• Understands site architecture & scalable builds
• Strong communication
