The Senior IT Analyst (Enterprise Applications & Digital / AI Initiatives) is a senior individual‑contributor role responsible for leading enterprise application management activities and driving the delivery of digital and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Technology, this role plays a critical part in modernizing business processes, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Technology within the Finance and IT Group, the Senior IT Analyst provides hands‑on coordination across enterprise application management and project execution for digital and AI initiatives. This role ensures that enterprise platforms are stable, secure, and aligned with business needs, while leading cross‑functional initiatives from concept through implementation.

Primary Responsibilities

Enterprise Application Management

  • Act as the senior technical and functional lead for Atura Power's enterprise applications, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise systems, including planning, implementation, upgrades, integrations, optimization, and decommissioning.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess impacts, and translate needs into scalable application solutions.
  • Ensure enterprise applications comply with IT internal controls, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third‑party service providers to support enterprise platforms, including issue resolution and enhancement delivery.
  • Maintain application documentation, support models, and operational procedures in alignment with IT best practices (e.g., ITIL).

Project Management – Digital & AI Initiatives

  • Lead and deliver projects related to digital transformation and AI implementation, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risks, dependencies, milestones, and status reporting for assigned initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including IT, business units, and external partners, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure digital and AI initiatives align with Atura Power's digital strategy, governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and ethical AI principles.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of digital platforms, automation solutions, and AI‑enabled tools.
  • Support post‑implementation reviews and benefits tracking to confirm expected business value is realized.

Governance, Security & Collaboration

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT policies, standards, and governance documentation, including controls related to digital and AI solutions.
  • Embed secure‑by‑design and cybersecurity best practices into all enterprise and AI initiatives.
  • Support organizational change management by helping stakeholders adopt new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff, analysts, or co‑op students as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong experience in enterprise application support and management within a complex or regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating IT projects, including digital transformation and/or AI‑enabled initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise platforms, Maximo, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Apps, cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or implementing AI, automation, or advanced analytics solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial sector.

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel to Atura Power locations across Ontario is required; a valid G‑class driver's license is required.
