Job Summary:
Our San Diego, California facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, directly impacting our logistics operations and overall business performance. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to our inventory management system. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles. A commitment to safety and efficiency is crucial.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify items requiring replenishment or disposition.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement in logistics efficiency.
  • Manage the organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Ensure proper use of all required PPE, including safety vests and gloves, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Be prepared for occasional lifting of inventory items, following safe lifting techniques.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports on inventory status and adjustments.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
