As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will be part of our highly skilled workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.
The typical assignments include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations; facilitating legitimate trade and travel; conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances; determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States; preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.
- Enforcing customs laws
You will be required to conduct thorough examinations of cargo/bags/merchandise as well as utilize intelligence techniques to identify potential threats. This role requires a deep understanding of immigration laws,
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Detecting suspicious behavior
- Inspecting vehicles < p >Experience must have been gained in an environment where law enforcement skills are regularly applied , preferably within a federal agency < / p >
