Why This Role Matters We are looking for an innovative Lead Backend Software Developer to enhance our backend team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in building, innovating, and maintaining integrations with our distribution partners. From resolving bugs to driving impactful feature development, you will own your projects and deliver scalable solutions. Your collaboration with the Product Team and other development teams will be essential in designing and implementing top-tier solutions. Your Contributions Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations with a focus on both upstream and downstream consumers. Work collaboratively with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using cutting-edge backend technologies. Lead design reviews and architecture discussions, while creating comprehensive technical documentation with colleagues. Enhance system reliability, observability, monitoring, and testability. Engage with Engineering and Product Managers to fully understand and address the challenges you encounter. Collaborate with internal operations teams and external integration partners. Effectively debug complex multi-system issues and propose optimal solutions. Influence the successful execution of engineering priorities through your leadership and communication skills. Facilitate code reviews and support the establishment of coding standards, best practices, and backend processes. Mentor less experienced developers, fostering their growth in best practices and operational excellence. What Makes You a Strong Candidate 5+ years of experience in backend development, especially with Go, NodeJS, and third-party APIs. Familiarity with documenting and designing architectural decisions. Experience with AWS services, including Kubernetes, Lambda, EventBridge, RDS, and DynamoDB. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, with experience in optimizing CI/CD pipelines alongside DevOps practices. Strong software engineering fundamentals and a commitment to mentoring others. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to independently address technical challenges. Capability to give and receive constructive feedback during code reviews effectively. Experience working within Agile frameworks. Adept at finding innovative solutions using various debugging tools. Familiarity with Git version control and manage repositories in GitLab. Compensation The salary for this role ranges from $141,000 to $184,000, depending on relevant experience. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance. All Evolve team members must reside in one of our approved locations by their first day.
