St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board with a total student population of 38,000, provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) across the Waterloo Region.
The WCDSB also operates numerous Adult Learning and Continuing Education programs through St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres.

General Description Of The Program
A childminding service including Childcare for Newcomers to Canada (CNC) and Spots for Tots.
You will report to the Program Managers of the CNC/LINC/ESL Program
General Description Of Duties
Delivery of a Child Centered Program
Meaningful and purposeful engagement with children
Preparing nutritious snacks
Communicating regularly with staff and supervisor
Minimum Requirements
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or minimum one year experience working in a childcare setting
Standard CPR/First Aid
Committed to providing quality inclusive childcare programming
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; and must be able to physically assist children as required (e.g. lifting)
Eligible to work in Canada
Required up-to-date vaccinations for Childcare Providers:
Desirable Assets
Good Standing with the College of ECE's
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working in all program areas (e.g. infants, toddlers)
Locations: Main Campus – 80 Young Street, Kitchener
St. Francis Campus – 154 Gatewood Road, Kitchener
Program Hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 11:45am & 12:30 – 3:00 pm
Schedule: on call as needed
Rate of Pay: RECE $29.04 (plus vacation)
Uncertified $28.65 (plus vacation)
Please note: We hire from the supply list for temporary and permanent assignments
Please be aware that applicants to St Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education are not required to be Catholic.
