As a full-time Business Development Manager in the Sales Department at Aalberts, you will drive our Aalberts IPS brands specification through developers, consulting engineers and key owners across Eastern Canada.

your challenge
Develops strategic action plans & annual forecasts for the assigned accounts working alongside the Canadian sales team to complete project wins.
Develops, maintains and manages direct personal contact and effective working relationships at all levels with key decisions and influences at assigned accounts.
Key focus on driving our brands 'top down" starting with developers
Develops, maintains and manages the proper communication of projects for pursuit by the transactional sales team.
Develops, maintains profiles for clients (key accounts, engineers and end users, etc.)
Drives Industrial AML approvals as needed.
Meets or exceeds annual goals for specification adoption.
Prepares and submits activity reports and sales plans as required.
Compares and evaluates competitive offerings.
Primary contact is with developers, and engineers
Attends key trade shows, industry functions, and association events.
Complete additional duties as assigned by manager.
requirements
10 years in marketing or sales which encompasses sales of valves or related industry products.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
Must have knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office skills.
Should have a strong organizational background and aptitude.
Must be a solid public speaker and presenter.
Must be able to interpret written and verbal instructions.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Requires constructive and solid judgments.
Possesses knowledge of sales channels – distribution, contractor, end-user, specifying engineers, etc.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bilingual (English & French)

Complete familiarity with the technical and feature advantage of Apollo products.
Possesses knowledge of valve and piping systems, products, applications, specifications automation systems, industrial manufacturing, mechanical/plumbing contractors and PVF distribution.
Possesses knowledge of competitors' products.

Highly developed professional sales and self-management skills.
Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.
Has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

this role has a starting rate of 120,000 CAD
