As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be designing solutions from business requirements and executing on those solutions from whiteboard, code, testing, and validation. You will be tasked with a variety of development activities, including developing core business logic, product enhancements on existing web product, developing API endpoints for 3rd party systems or developers to utilize, and creating new modules to serve our customer's needs. You will also play a key role in guiding technical decision‑making and mentoring team members as they design, build, and deliver high‑quality solutions.

Job Description:

Compensation Range

Minimum rate: $85,000 CAD

Maximum rate: $110,000 CAD

Current vacancy: Net new position.

Location: Remote Canada

What you'll be doing:

  • Implementing solutions for Trapeze Enterprise Asset Management.

  • Mentor/support Software Developers

  • Consulting with Product Managers, Quality Assurance, and Support Staff on the development and maintenance of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software solutions.

  • Develop and strategize software products to support current business initiatives and provide future direction for new innovative ideas to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Work independently

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or a certificate from a technical training institute

  • Proficiency in C# Programming Language.

  • Web Development utilizing HTML/CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.

  • 5+ years of programming experience.

  • Requires Minimal Supervision

  • Challenges the Status Quo and the ability to think outside of the box.

  • Product Knowledge

  • Contribute to Code Reviews

  • Instill Best Practices

  • Identify, Suggest, & Implement Design Improvements

  • Contribute towards the technical roadmap

  • Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for new tools, frameworks, libraries

  • Write Unit Tests

  • Write documentation

  • Code Refactoring

  • Proficiency of Data Modeling

  • Practical Understanding of Design Patterns 

  • Experience working with APIs and REST based services

  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools

  • Experience in SQL and relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Agile software development

  • Visual Studio IDE or Visual Studio Code development platforms

  • .NET Framework, .NET Standard, .NET Core and latest .NET Technology

  • .NET web frameworks such as Blazor and other Microsoft web server technologies

  • Experience with Cloud – Azure architecture and development

  • Experience with C/C++ and STL Library

  • SAP Crystal Report development
