**This role is a 12pm - 8:30pm shift**
The Operations Team Member - Personalization, reporting to the Inventory Manager, plays an important role in creating high-quality memorial products through precision laser engraving, digital design preparation, and detailed production support. This position is ideal for someone with strong material awareness, excellent attention to detail, and experience using design and image-editing software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
The role focuses on technical operation of laser engraving equipment, quality control, and safe handling of materials in a supportive, close-knit care center environment.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate laser engraving equipment and related software to produce memorial plaques and customized items.
Prepare digital artwork files for engraving using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
Perform image editing, layout adjustments, and design corrections to ensure accuracy and quality.
Demonstrate strong awareness of different materials (metal, wood, acrylic, etc.) and how they respond to laser processing.
Conduct detailed quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Monitor laser equipment during operation, make adjustments as needed, and submit maintenance requests when required.
Follow all safety and compliance procedures, including OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping duties around the production and engraving workspace.
Support the operations team with additional tasks as assigned, focusing on technical production and memorial item preparation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, high-quality work
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and other digital design tools
Technical comfort with laser software and engraving machine operation
Material awareness and ability to work with various product surfaces
Safety-focused mindset and compliance with workplace safety standards (OSHA)
Strong problem-solving and quick-thinking abilities
Flexible, dependable team player with a positive attitude
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Good verbal communication and ability to work independently or collaboratively
Primarily light production work involving standing, sitting, and repetitive hand motions
Use of computers, digital design tools, and laser engraving equipment
Exposure to moderate noise levels during equipment operation
Commitment to safety procedures and proper use of protective equipment
No cremation or retort operation duties included
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 12 months experience in a service or production-related environment
Experience with digital design or engraving software is strongly preferred
Valid Driver License may be required
