Chief Enforcer

As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of a highly trained team responsible for protecting America's borders and deterring illicit activity. You will work closely with other agents to identify and apprehend individuals who attempt to cross the border illegally.

• Conduct patrols along the international border using various assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles.


• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.


• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions.


• Analyze information rapidly to make prompt decisions in law enforcement matters.


• Develop effective communication skills with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement duties.
