The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Customs and Border Protection Officers. As a CBPO, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the nation's borders, enforcing customs laws, and facilitating legitimate trade.
Finding Success as a CBPO
- You must have one year of experience or education that includes enforcing federal laws, utilizing intelligence techniques to identify potential threats, conducting interviews for law enforcement purposes, making rapid judgments about regulations compliance
Benefits Package Includes:
- An annual base salary ranging from $61,111 to $124,443 based on grade level eligibility
- Overtime pay eligible up to an additional $45 thousand annually
Becoming a Successful CBPO Candidate
The age restriction may not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible. You'll need formal training including two weeks at home port followed by 101 days of CBP Field Operations Academy training conducted by FLETC.
