The United States Border Patrol Agent role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in law enforcement, protecting the nation's borders and upholding immigration laws.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen sense of judgment. They must be willing to undergo extensive training at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico.
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations. You will also prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.
