About the Role
The Border Patrol Agent position is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the security and public safety sector. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding the American people by detecting and preventing illicit activity at or near the borders.
Key Responsibilities
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Inspections of documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
Educational Requirements
GL-5 Grade Level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or one full year of graduate-level education in law enforcement related fields.
GL-7 Grade Level: One year of specialized work experience making sound judgments, dealing effectively with people, analyzing information rapidly, and applying these skills in law enforcement capacities.
(Note: If you have previous military experience this may qualify for GL 9 -11 grade level)
