Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Cloud Architect to lead our internal Product Team at SHI. This role involves designing, deploying, and automating robust cloud infrastructures primarily within Microsoft Azure. As a key technical leader, you will mentor junior staff, drive innovative technical initiatives, and collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to achieve reliable and cost-effective cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage complex Azure cloud infrastructures with a strong emphasis on automation and scalability.
Architect reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules using Terraform.
Implement advanced automation solutions using Python and Bash for effective resource management.
Develop shell scripts for orchestration and automation across Linux systems.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including Groovy-based scripts and workflows.
Manage Docker and Kubernetes container environments, ensuring seamless production deployments.
Lead incident responses, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventive strategies.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues across various technologies and frameworks.
Collaborate with software and DevOps teams to align functional requirements with secure and scalable solutions.
Establish best practices for cloud security, governance, and compliance.
Create detailed documentation including architectural diagrams and automation workflows.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
Assess and recommend updates to Azure services and tools relevant to automation and containerization.
Drive initiatives to improve infrastructure efficiency and performance.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, focusing on:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, and networking components.
Expertise in designing and implementing Terraform modules for scalable IaC.
Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation frameworks.
Advanced Linux administration skills with a focus on performance and orchestration.
Willingness to travel for SHI, Partner, and Customer events.
Commitment to obtaining relevant Azure certifications within the first year of employment.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and market factors. Comprehensive benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and more.
