$65.00 to $80.00/hr. W2 Responsibilities: Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Develop and enhance Snowflake data models adhering to best practices in data warehousing.
Implement ELT and ETL processes for transforming raw data into formats ready for analysis.
Create and maintain dimensional models and semantic layers for business analytics.
Build and maintain Python backend APIs to facilitate data access and integration.
Write clean, production-ready Python code complete with documentation and tests.
Develop RESTful APIs that connect data infrastructure to applications and tools.
Establish data validation, quality checks, and monitoring solutions.
Utilize Azure services, including Data Lake, SQL, and Functions, for comprehensive data solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for streamlined data workflows.
Manage and optimize cloud resources focusing on both cost efficiency and performance.
Ensure adherence to data security, governance, and compliance standards.
Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
Translate business needs into effective technical data solutions.
Document data pipelines, processes, and architecture thoroughly.
Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in engineering.
Experience Requirements: 3 to 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
Proficient in Python for data engineering and backend development.
Extensive experience with Databricks, including PySpark, Delta Lake, and workflows.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data modeling and optimization, including SnowSQL.
Experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL.
Strong SQL skills and expertise in relational databases.
Experience with Git for collaborative development.
Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
Familiarity with data formats including Parquet, Avro, and Delta.
Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale applications.
Knowledge of data quality, governance, and security principles.
Experience with dbt for transformation workflows is preferred.
Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Databricks Streaming is preferred.
Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory is a plus.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker preferred.
Understanding of DataOps and agile methodologies is a plus.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is a plus.
Knowledge of data mesh or data lakehouse architectures is a plus.
Education Requirements: Preferred Azure certifications include Azure Data Engineer Associate or Databricks certifications.
