Job Description We are excited to announce a hybrid opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Sales Planning and Intelligence IT organization. The successful candidate will report to Austin, TX or Warren, MI at least three times per week, which offers the chance to actively engage with your team while enjoying flexibility in your work environment. The Role As a key member of the Sales Planning and Intelligence IT team, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, cloud-native applications that leverage applied AI/ML capabilities. You will take ownership of complex features and services, collaborating closely with product managers, architects, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful solutions. What You'll Do Design and implement advanced features and services for cloud-native systems on Azure. Engage actively in system and application architecture discussions to shape future developments. Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production support. Transform business and product requirements into effective technical solutions. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following established engineering best practices. Participate in code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback to foster growth. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing knowledge and leading by example. Identify and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, security, and maintainability. Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to ensure quality software delivery. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 7-8+ years of software development experience in an agile environment. Strong experience in building cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including managed services. Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and distributed system principles. Proven experience in delivering customer-facing applications or services. Full-stack:
Proficient with: Java for backend services and APIs. Angular for modern web front ends. PostgreSQL or similar relational databases. AI/ML:
Practical experience in integrating AI capabilities, such as: Using predictive or analytical models. Implementing generative AI techniques. Adding AI-powered features within existing applications. Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications) Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. 10+ years of professional software development experience. Familiarity with distributed systems at moderate scale. Experience with cloud observability, security best practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Previous experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead. This role may be eligible for relocation benefits. Compensation: The expected base compensation range for this role is $160,400 - $227,100, with actual compensation varying based on relevant factors. Bonus Potential: Performance-based incentive pay is available based on individual and company results.
